My baby is now going to be 8 months old... been wanting to update my blog.. taking care of a newborn does takes up All your time. .
Anyway. . I must type this out.. before my memory starts fading..
Once I was ok from my 2 weeks illness. . I went for my regular check up.. baby hasn't really grown much..
Dr said by 17/8 if no signs of baby... we have to induce.. he said if baby stop growing inside means baby is not happy and its time to come out.
So.. im so worried... baby was only 2.6kg... after a week.. baby was still 2.6kg.. stagnant. .
I started doing things and eating food that I've been craving for.. my last on the list was nandos hahaha. .. after my meal.. my contractions started.. pain but it wasn't consistent. . After dinner we went out with my in laws.. mil doubt its anytime soon.. she always think im going to be late. -_-
At 5am I suddenly woke up and went to pee. And saw my panty had a pinkish stain.. so I thought.. oh.. im guessing this is the bloody show!
Too tired and I just knew its anytime now... I went back to sleep. .
8ish.. I woke up and saw.. more blood. . Ok.. Time to call dr.. I had contractions but not consistent. . Called the clinic. . Should I go to labour room or clinic? Clinic!
We brought all our bags.. thinking this is it! We are gonna be parents! Its no longer just the both of us.. its gonna be the 3 of us!
Dr checked and said its just the beginning. . No where near labour yet and sent me home! Told me its very boring if I admit so early and there's nothing to do! Said come when your contractions are consistent! My mistake. . We should have insisted!
Went home about 12ish.. lunch and slept. . Was just too tired..
Woke up 3ish.. and that's when the contractions started. . It was every 10 minutes. . And dr said has to be consistent. . Like within the hour every 10 mins.. but I didn't have time to time it.. as it was going to be peak hour traffic soon.. with the Ramadan 430 pm traffic. . Last day of school. . Etc.. its either I leave now or after the 8-9pm..
We decided to leave now! Ooh did I mention. . It also started to storm? Heavy rain, bad thunder and lightning. . Strong wind..
I scream together with a lightning. . Like the movies.. this is what ive been praying not to happen to me.. peak hour labour pain. .
Traffic from pj to ampang was smooth with Duke. . Took us about 30mins.. was so glad..
But.. traffic to the hospital was so so bad.. bumper to bumper.. total time on the road. . 3 freaking hours! All the ooh ooh ah ah in the car.. from every 10-8-7-5mins contraction..
Finally arrived at the hospital emergency room. . Wheel me up to labour room.. they still have to check my weight and etc.. undressed. . Changed. . Checked.. and said.. only 1 cm!!!
Still long more way to go.. Told me im gonna deliver after midnight. . :(
Anyway. . Dr came.. Told them to unstrap me from all the machine and told me to go for dinner and walk around.. honestly. . After the traffic jam.. and all the pain.. I just wanted to do nothing..
It was no longer every 5 mins. . I couldn't even relax and wait for the next contractions. . It was every second lol.. it felt that way.. again check said 3 cm.. I couldn't take the pain anymore I asked for epi! Oh I took gas at first.. good thing for gas I was so sedated.. I didnt feel the jab at the spine and my wrist and had to put the tube up for peeing.
After that they checked again. . I was fully dilated! Nurse said... aiyah actually no need epi already! Means I was already feeling the labour pain.. and it was no where near midnight. . Nobody knew I was gonna be this fast.. I remember nurses told me they could feel baby's head and she was just there waiting to come out. . And just a gentle push she'll be out.. and was saying my cervix is paper thin..
But with my last min epi.. they gave me full dosage n I only use a few % of it.. I couldn't feel a thing.. I didn't know how to push.. and I was feeling very disappointed with myself. . Tired and looking at the time. . 15 mins later still no baby.. ; (
Finally. . I said.. dr please help me... next thing I know my next push.. baby came out!!
And.... its a Girl! !! What a surprise! :))
